Don’t be a “Gym Profit” this year

Coach Hardwood says:

When you’re making your plans for 2008, and that includes a new gym membership, remember that those businesses make their money because they know that all new members stay an average of two months on their contract. Never return to use the facilities, never use up any of the gym’s resources. TWO bloody months! And you could be into a 12 month (or longer) contract… they charge you every month (or they already have your cash!) whether you show up or not!

This year, if you join the gym, CARRY THROUGH with your commitment. you paid for it with your cash now pay for it by putting your butt through the door! Don’t be a gym profit this year, but instead, plan to be one of the ones that goes 5-6 days/week, and eats up the profits they made of the other guy (you know… the one with the ever-expanding waist line) who showed up twice and never returned.

for 2008, it’s all about you getting your money’s worth, and getting your life on track and your flab on the run.
