Six Fitness Tips to Staying Young

  1. Drink plenty of water. Studies show that drinking sufficient amounts of water daily (about 60-80 oz) will keep your skin hydrated and looking youthful. Some studies also show that being well-hydrated increases your metabolism, so you’ll burn calories better. If you tend toward constant snacking or binge-eating, substitute water for your snacks, when possible. Also drink a large glass of water about 20 minutes before a meal and you will feel more “full” and eat less. (Our bodies often mistake feelings of “hunger” that are really feelings of “thirst.”
  2. Eat a well-balanced diet. A diet filled with fruits and veggies, lean protein and whole grains provides your body with disease fighting nutrients. High-fiber foods will aid in digestion and will help move some fats through your system more efficiently. …
