Going to New Zealand for a Ski Vacation

Filed under: Extreme Sports, Ski — Author @ 1:32 pm

For those skiers who prefer the commercial resorts, the country has several on its north and south islands.  There are also private ski lodges located on the southern side of the mountains that require four wheel drive vehicles to get to, as well as some areas that require walking to get to because the terrain is too rough for vehicles.  Another type of skiing that entices people to go to New Zealand on a ski vacation is the heli-skiing and the glacier skiing.  However, in order to experience these types of New Zealand skiing, you must be at least an intermediate skier and have experience skiing on powder.
