Learn to Score Bowling

The popular game of bowling has 10 frames and each player gets up to two shots in every frame in order to bring down all the pins. 10-pin bowling is the most common type of bowling for leisure, entertainment, or sport purposes. The highest score that you can reach in bowling is 300 which a quite a feat to achieve. It is worthwhile noting that few people attain a perfect game, but not all those are professional bowlers.

Anyone looking to take up this pastime should learn How To Score Bowling. The concepts of scoring bowling may seem tricky at first, but once you learn it, it will become easy and second nature. This way you won’t be dependent on automatic scorers which can sometimes malfunction.

Step-By-Step Balling Ball Drilling System Guaranteed To Improve Your Game!

Although it isn’t necessary to own your own equipment in order to enjoy bowling, I strongly recommend that you do. All bowling centers have “house balls” available for use at no charge to customers, and your local bowling center will rent bowling shoes. But you’ll find your scores mount when you have equipment fitted to your individual specifications. When you buy a ball your bowling proprietor or his pro shop will drill it for you at no charge. If you’re really serious about bowling, you should buy your own ball and have it drilled for your own physical make-up. It’s like buying a tailor-made suit. It will fit you perfectly; it’s yours alone.

Today bowling balls come in almost all colors and weights. There was a time when almost all balls were black, and their weights were always sixteen pounds or very close to it. Now that women have taken up the sport however, bowling balls come in almost every hue; and the weights range from ten pounds to sixteen, though never more than sixteen. Black models retail for about $25; other colors and mottled balls are slightly more than that.

Bowling balls are made of hard rubber. The lighter weight balls contain a cork center, and cost about the same as the sixteen pounders.

They Laughed When I Started To Following These Bowling Tips, But When I Bowled 7 Strikes In a Row …

Every sport has its rules of etiquette. In golf, for example, one does not talk or move while a player is shooting. In basketball, the crowd is silent when a free throw is made. Even in such a rugged sport as boxing, a man who has scored a knockdown retires to the farthest neutral corner to allow his opponent a chance to get up after a count. So it is in bowling. What it really boils down to is courtesy, once you have an inkling of the rules. Here are some points to remember:

Observe the foul line at all times.

This goes for practice as well as for tournament or league play. You owe it to your teammates and to those around you to refrain from any such action as fouling, which would penalize your score and consequently that of your team. Fouling frequently brings on loud and unpleasant grumbling, in itself another breach of etiquette.

Never two-ball a pinboy.

By this, I mean don’t fire another ball down the lane before the first one has been returned to you. You might injure the pinboy, and you are sure to make yourself mighty unpopular with those around you, even if you don’t hurt him. Remember, if the pinboy should be injured, you might find yourself liable for damages.

They Laughed When I Said I Wanted To Bowl, But When I Bowled 7 Strikes In a Row

Certain standards laid down by the American Bowling Congress govern all sanctioned bowling lanes and must be complied with if official recognition is to be given to any competition held thereon. I am not going to name all of these regulations, because many of them are rather technical, but I would like to set down a few that have a direct bearing on your game. Here are the important ones:

Your bowling ball weighs not more than 16 pounds nor less than 10 pounds. The circumference of the ball is 27 inches, and the diameter of the ball is 8.59 inches.

Tenpins are 15 inches in height, and must weigh not less than 2 pounds, 14 ounces, nor more than 3 pounds, 10 ounces. The design of all pins is clearly prescribed by the ABC. The distance between each pin is 12 inches from center to center.
