Golf Practice Nets And Training Aids

Why is this? Because our body can’t perform a mechanically sound swing when it is weak and tight. Go back in your mind to the last time you hit a bucket of balls. Out of the whole bucket, how many swings really felt good, and the ball did what you wanted it to do? Probably not to hard to count them is it. So start at the begining go to the gym and get in better shape. I know that it is hard these days to make time for the gym and practicing but you can do it and you’ll be glad you did when you take your buddy’s to the cleaners.

Taylormade Burner Plus Irons

Filed under: Golf — pcudby @ 2:37 pm

Tour Burners deserved their place on the Golf Digest 2009 “Hot List” for the best-performing Game Improvement clubs. They lead the way in performance, innovation and feel. Whether you’re handicap is high or low, you would surely love to give these clubs a try on the range. Most local golfers are “awe-struck” the first time they use Burners – they are soon able to generate more yardage on each shot they take, and the clubs do not “punish” them nearly as much for errant swings. Better scores on the golf course will inevitably follow.

Improving Putting Using An Indoor Putting Mat

No matter which putting method that you use, conventional, left hand low, or the claw you can benefit from an indoor putting mat.

Since most of us do not have enough hours in the day, an indoor putting mat allows you to practice at any time of day and during any type of weather condition. As you use your indoor putting mat, you will be able to focus on the fundamentals of your putting stroke without feeling any pressure of making a putt.

You can find indoor putting mats and putting greens in various lengths and sizes. They also come with slopes, curves, and hazards. Lengths usually vary from about three to fifteen feet long. Most of the cup sizes are a little smaller than the size of the cup on the golf course green. But this is good because it will help to sharpen your putting skills. Practicing with a putting mat should make the regulation cup on the golf course appear larger. Most of these putting mats will provide you the feel of putting on a well groomed green.

Most artificial putting mats are portable. You can roll them up for storage, placing them in your car, and even carry them on an airplane. A number of the putting mats even have an automatic ball return.

Another great aspect of these putting greens is the ability to adjust them. You can usually adjust the length, degree of break, pitch, and even the elevation. Do not worry if you are left handed because most of the mats can be used by right handed and left handed golfers.

After you receive your putting mat it is time to start your practicing. You need to practice, practice, practice to improve your putting skills and reduce the number of putts per round.

Do not forget that these practice putting mats are an excellent gift for anyone who loves the game of golf and wants to practice their putting away from the green.

A Review Of The Titleist Pro V1 And Pro V1x Golf Ball

The majority of professional golfers will say you that Titleist has been producing some of the best golf balls on the market for thirty years. When you hit that level of success it may seem hard to better what is already the best.

But somehow Titleist has gotten even greater! The new Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls both have a new hidden seam design via its “staggered wave parting line”.

These new golf balls likewise sport a brand new alignment marking which totally eradicates the need to draw a line by using a marker.

You’ll also discover these new balls are more responsive on the green, fly further and have higher coverage than older Titleist designs.

While the best golf ball may be fairly subjective, the new Titleist designs are certainly near the top of the list.

Fix That Golf Swing To Look Like A Pro

The perfect way to start a golf game is with a better than average golf swing. You want the ball to land near the hole so that it becomes just a simple matter of putting it in.

In “rocket science” terms it all boils down to physics because the twist of the swing produces torque on the club. This kinetic energy is collected at the club head and transmitted to the ball which ideally flies a great distance.

Pro golfers that achieve long distances with their drives usually attain club head speeds of close to 100 miles per hour. The exception is Tiger Woods who has been clocked at 125 miles per hour.

But there is yet another aspect of the proper golf swing and this is the lie angle. If you don’t know what this is, it is the angle between the shaft and the club face. If you have a machine for monitoring golf swings, you will note that most golfers contact the ball at a 12 degree angle. At least one scientist is convinced that golfers could do better if they contacted the ball at a 7.5 degree angle. For more swing tips visit get that golf swing fixed.

Features To Look For In Golf Drivers

You need to choose your golf drivers carefully, as the kind of driver you use would determine your golfing success to a great extent. If you are new to golf, having a golf driver with a big club head would make a lot of sense. Most beginners prefer to venture into golfing with Taylor made drivers since they are easy to swing and extremely light weight. Beginners must look for a golf driver with 10.5 or higher loft angle with a flexible shaft. If you are a pro, then you may go for a driver with a titanium head, a stiffer shaft, and a loft angle of 9.0 - 9.5 degrees.

The perfect golf swing is achievable

With the many factors that contribute to a successful golf swing, it can be a lifelong quest to achieve the perfect golf swing. But by breaking down golf swing components and addressing them individually, you can work towards a perfect golf swing and see improvements on the score card. Some of the basic areas to work on when trying to get to the perfect golf swing include grip, stance, ball position, alignment, flexibility, balance, and swing plane.Your body limits how good your golf swing will be, so on your way to finding a perfect golf swing you will first need to reach an appropriate golf fitness level. The key to great golf fitness is flexibility. Flexibility will bring power to your golf swing and you will be able to increase your distance. Without being flexible, you will not be able to take a full golf swing, taking the club back far and finishing with a thorough follow-through. To improve flexibility, check out some easy golf exercises. Also, before each round of golf you should do some simple golf stretches to improve your flexibility and golf swing for the entire round. The foundation of a perfect golf swing starts with your grip and stance. You want balance when it comes to your golf swing, and this begins with a solid stance. Your feet should be a little more than shoulder’s width apart. Your grip should be comfortable and not too tight. One sign that you may be gripping your golf club too tightly is if your hands begin to ache during your round or after you have finished playing.

Purepoint Golf Instruction – Pitching Backswing – Pitch Shot

Let’s talk about the back swing when you’re pitching. This could be one of the most misunderstood parts of the weekend golfers short game or pitching problems.

I own three pitching wedges. I own three wedges. I own a pitching wedge, a sand wedge and one that’s sort of in the middle. They go three very different distances.

But let me explain something to you about the back swing that will help you a lot. Most amateurs that miss/hit their pitch shots make a big windup every time, and then they slow down to match up how far they want it to go.

So, if they have a pitch shot, they wind it up and slow down and hope they match up how far they needed to go. Two holes later, if they have to pitch it a little bit further, they make a bigger windup and they try to slow down.

You need to relax when you are swinging. This will help you swing easily and will help to reduce your power. If you put your feet closer together, then you can further reduce the strength of your swing. Tensing up will also cause you to use too much effort.

Filed under: Golf, Sports — Journalist @ 11:12 am

More and more people are now practicing golf as a sport. It seems that golf has got rid of its ‘rich-man sport’ tag that was preventing it from reaching the masses. There are many reasons that have contributed to make golf become popular. First, one is the television broadcast of golf. Proof of this can be seen in the fact that golf players now featured in advertisements. Secondly we have the case that there has been a drop in the price of golf equipments thus making it more affordable to practice this sport. For those that have not yet try their hands at golf there are a lot of opportunities that are available for you to learn the basics of golf. One French article that I have recently come across is

Selecting The Correct Golf Club Shaft

Filed under: Golf, News and Views, Outdoors, Sports, Sports Products — thad.hubbard@meetinglogicllc.com @ 3:53 pm

If you are buying a set of golf clubs for your personal enjoyment, one of the biggest factors will be selecting the correct golf club shaft. The shaft of a golf club is the metal that connects the handle to the head, and effectively holds the entire golf club together. It plays a huge role in the swing of the club. Picking the right one can have a huge effect on your whole game, but there are many things to consider.

Lots of golfers find that they are fine with simply sticking to the golf club shafts that they have always had. However, if you are a better-than-average golfer and you feel that you can improve your game by buying a shaft that is more suited to you, then you will find that it can increase your enjoyment of the game (and decrease your score).
