Obesity and over weight

Abstract:
This study say that overweight and obesity prevalence would be significantly related to demographic, lifestyle and parental factors. The results revealed that only health insurance plan, birth weight and parental BMI were significant in the weight classification of the preschool children. Year, type of preschool and year by ethnicity interaction also were significantly related to weight classification. With more research, new variables could emerge as having effects on overweight and and obesity are defined as abnormal or excessive fat accumulation that may impair health. Body mass index (BMI) is a simple index of weight-for- height that is commonly used to classify overweight and obesity in adults. It is defined as a person's#39:S weight in kilograms divided by the square of his height in meters (kg/m 2).
