Abstract:
The recent investigation recorded 23 species (dicots 20 & monocots 3) of medicinal plants under 23 genera (dicots 20 & monocots 3) 14 families (dicots 11 & monocots 3) from different parts of Southern West Bengal. The recorded 23 plants bear medicinally active compounds that can be used for the treatment of rheumatism. The botanical name, vernacular name (s), habit, parts used and mode of applications of these compounds are also discussed in this paper.
