Author(s): R Udhaya Mohan Babu
Abstract:
Educational achievement refers to a student's success in meeting short- or long-term goals in education. In the big picture, Academic achievement means completing high school or earning a college degree. Educational success has been considered as the most important objective in education. However, it is a general observation that learners placed in a homogenous environment of academic situations vary in their educational achievement. Yoga education helps students become self-aware and regulate their thoughts. Spiritual development– For some people, yoga education is a spiritual practice as it encourages self-exploration and self-discovery there is a significant difference between XI and XII standard students in their academic achievement. While comparing the mean scores of XI and XII standard students, the XII standard students (M=733.72) are better than the XI standard students (M=663.57) in their academic achievement. The sample for the present study has been selected using a stratified random sampling technique from the population. The stratification is done on the basis of sex, type of school, locality of school. Six schools are randomly selected in Ramanathapuram Educational District. From these schools, the students are selected with the help of a stratified random sampling technique. The sample was from six schools in Ramanathapuram Educational District. We can conclude that yoga intervention is crucial for a child's intellectual and emotional growth. Students who practice yoga find that it helps them focus on a range of tasks. Some yoga exercises can help manage stress.
