The effect of directed exercises on developing the explosive ability of the leg muscles and the handoff skill of young basketball players
Author(s): Dr. Ahmed Kareem Lateef
Abstract:
Basketball players' vertical jump development involves various methods, including the directed training method, which focuses on the Short-Stretching Cycle (SSC) and muscle spindle reaction. This study aims to determine the impact of plyometric and other training on the explosive ability of leg muscles in basketball players. This information will be useful for coaches to modify their training programs to improve vertical jump performance and achieve success with their teams. The study provides valuable insights for coaches in planning plyometric sessions in their annual training program, as the vertical jump affects their technical performance.
