Abstract:Study Aim: To find out the significant Disparity of Strength and Power Abilities (Muscular Strength and Muscular Power) between District level Canoeing and State level Canoeing Players.
Materials and Methods: A group of 32 male subjects, aged 18 to 25, were selected for this study. These subjects were divided into two different groups: District level Canoeing Players (N1 = 20) and State level Canoeing Players (N2 = 12).
Statistical Analysis: Under the data analysis, exploration of data was made with descriptive statistics and graphical analysis. Unpaired t-test was employed for the present investigation. The SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) version 20.0 was used for all analyses. For testing the hypotheses, the level of significance was set at 0.05.
Results: The absolute value of the calculated t is smaller than critical value (0.5024<2.042), so the means are not significantly different comparing District level Canoeing Players (N1 = 20) and State level Canoeing Players (N2 = 12) regarding Muscular Strength. The absolute value of the calculated t is smaller than critical value (0.379< 2.042), so the means are not significantly different comparing District level Canoeing Players (N1 = 20) and State level Canoeing Players (N2 = 12) regarding Muscular Power.
