Abstract:
The purpose was to find out the relationship of gripping power of hands with selected anthropometric variables Wrist Circumference, Biceps flexed and Arm Length in cricketers. For the present study the source for the datawas collected form Amravati District. For the present study 20 cricketers selected. The selected cricketers had played inter-university cricket and had participated in the study voluntarily. To test the subjects, hand grip ability was measured by dynamometer and wrist circumference, biceps girth and arm length were measured with the help of steel tape. The data for handgrip ability and Anthropometric measurement was collected by grip dynamometer and steel tape. After that pearson product moment technique was used for this statistical treatment. The researcher was set the level of significance at 0.05.Present study revealed a strong and significant positive correlation between left and right-hand grip ability with other anthropometric measurements of dominant hand such as wrist circumference, biceps flexed arm length.
